Muscle-powered short-flight aircraft

Until now, there has never been any popular sporting apparatus in the world which, on the one hand, has allowed short, risk-free leaps into the air while, on the other hand, also being capable of being used equally well for slimming purposes. Both problems are solved by a newly developed muscle-powered short-flight aircraft which, in a similar manner to cycling, has a high sporting value and will find many adherents, worldwide, as spare-time recreation for young and old. By means of the energy, which is stored in two rubber motors by pedalling and is transferred abruptly to two contrarotating propellers, the appliance lifts off the ground to a specific height, as though it had been catapulted. By regulating the speed of the airscrews by means of a freewheel and a built-in braking device, it is possible to regulate the height of the climb and to return smoothly and safely to the ground, as desired. The appliance can also be used for slimming purposes by the rubber motors just being charged up and then being allowed to unwind slowly.
