PURPOSE:To provide an electromagnetic valve provided with a compact light mover with high responsive property by working one material to form integrally an armature and rod and harden partially a portion thereof colliding with a stopper. CONSTITUTION:An armature 6a and rod 6b are unified with each other by mechanical cutting operation and a ball of a valve body 6d is resistance welded to the distal end of the rod 6d. A portion of the rod 6b of the armature 6a colliding with a stopper is hardened partially by a high frequency quenching method. As a result, compared with prior valves, attraction in applied current is improved at least 20% to provide excellent magnetic property of armature 6a and sufficiently satisfactory antiwear property. Also, comparing existing movers with this integrally worked one with respect to the electromagnetic attraction of mover, a product having equivalent level to that of existing one can be obtained even if the attraction area of armature 6a is lessened, and the mover 6 itself can be lightened in the respect of weight so that the product with high responsive property can be provided.
