PURPOSE:To attain small size and light weight of an optical transmission module and an optical reception module by synthesizing a synchronizing signal and an analog data signal at the sender side, converting the result into an optical signal, sending it on an optical transmission line, converging the sent optical signal into an electric signal at the reception side, obtaining the synthesis signal and demultiplexing the signal into the synchronizing signal and the analog data signal. CONSTITUTION:The optical signal sender side synthesizes the synchronizing signal and the analog data signal, converts the result into the optical signal and send it on an optical transmission line 3, and the optical signal receiver side converts the received optical signal into an electric signal, and demultiplexes the synthesis signal into the synchronizing signal and the analog data signal. The optical transmission module 1 and the optical reception module 2 are built in plugs respectively plugged into receptacles 6, 9 and while the plug is plugged into the receptacle 6, 9, the printed circuit boards 5, 8 are connected electrically. Thus, number of transmission channels of the optical signal, that is, number of the optical signal transmission means, the optical transmission lines 3 and the optical signal reception means is reduced. Then the optical transmission module 1 and the optical reception module 2 are made small in size and light in weight. |
