PURPOSE:To control consuming electric current into the mininum limit and permit a high energy control with the least electric power consumption by a method wherein a DC-DC converter is operated for only a predetermined period of time after receiving an ignition signal. CONSTITUTION:A trigger voltage Vt, in accordance with the revolving number of an engine in any revolving number, is generated to control the correct timing of an ignition spark by a method wherein a comparator 7 is employed in the voltage input circuit of a pickup 3 so that the output of the pickup is brought into HIGH compared with the reference voltage of the comparator 7 even when a pickup voltage Vp is fluctuated. In this case, a desired charging voltage Vc= 300-400V can be achieved by 3-4 pieces of charge pulse current for the capacitor C5 in about 0.8msec of necessary time and thus the timing of the ignition spark may be controlled correctly and freely by the adjustment of one shot pulse width. Further, the interval of pulase becomes 3.64msec at 11,000rpm of engine revolving number and the current ic is not flowed through the primary and secondary coil of a booster transformer 5 during 2.84msec, from which said 0.8msec is subtracted, thereby enabling to reduce the power consumption. |
