PURPOSE:To make photodetecting element intervals sufficient and to reduce optical and electric crosstalk by forming end surface of optical fiber groups so that straight lines running in their centers are at an acute angle theta to the axial directions of the optical fiber groups and propagated light is projected at right angles, and arraying photodetector groups on the respective end surfaces. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber groups 1a-1n are so formed that the straight lines running in the centers of their end surfaces are at theta (0<theta<90) to the axial directions of the optical fiber groups 1a-1n. Further, the end surfaces of the optical fiber groups 1a-1n are slanted at 45 deg. so that light L which is propagated inside is projected at right angles to the plane where the optical fiber groups 1a-1n are arrayed. Then the photodetector groups 2a-2n are arrayed on a plane parallel to the plane where the optical fiber groups 1a-1n are arrayed nearby the respective end surfaces of the optical fiber groups 1a-1n and receive the propagated light projected from the respective end surfaces of the optical fiber groups 1a-1n. Consequently, the photodetector intervals are made sufficient and the optical and electric crosstalk is reduced. |
