<p>PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a mouse in a cursor control on a surface picture by outputting an output pulse in proportion to the product of the moving quantity and the moving speed of the mouse (coordinate input indicator) to a display device. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating circuit 5 of a mouse is connected to a rotation speed detector 3 combined with a roller 2 to take out the rotation of a ball 1, generates the oscillation frequency in proportion to the number of the rotations of the roller 2 and flickers and controls a light emitting part (speed pulse generating means) 6. A light receiving part 7 converts a pulse light to pass through a slit 4a of a disk (moving quantity pulse generating means) 4 interlocked with the roller 2 to an electric signal and outputs it to a display device 8 as an output pulse. Thus, the output pulse becomes the product of the moving speed and moving quantity of the mouse, even when the moving speed of the mouse is changed continuously, the sense of incompatibility is not given and the operability at the cursor control can be improved.</p> |
