A microwave oven heats the charge continuously and can therefore be used industrially. It consists of a microwave generator (1), a waveguide (2) connected at one end to said generator and at the other end to a guide with radiant slits (3) in a single or double-walled tunnel (12) of the lock chambers (5), said chambers being provided with small metal chains (6) which prevent the waves from leaving the oven (4). A travelling support (11) conveys the charge (28) through the oven (4). The inventions can be used industrially for cooking, drying, humidifying, etc.
