PURPOSE:To obtain favorable brake feeling by disposing a delay orifice and a check valve permitting a flow from a smaller diameter side to a larger diameter side in parallel between both pistons of a brake fluid pressure generating device of variable multiplication ratio provided with freely slidable larger and smaller-diametered pistons. CONSTITUTION:A brake fluid pressure generating device of variable multiplication ratio is constituted such that a smaller-diametered 1st piston 6 and a larger- diametered 2nd piston 7 in contact with each other are disposed to be capable of reciprocating in the same direction in a housing 1, and a 1st power chamber 13 and a 2nd power chamber 75 are defined to make it possible to introduce fluid pressure by means of a control valve 12. An orifice 19 and a check valve 80 for permitting the flow from the 2nd power chamber 75 are disposed parallel to a communication passage 77 between respective power chambers 13 and 75. When the brake is operated, fluid pressure with the 2nd power chamber 75 can be generated with a delay relative to the pressure generation by the 1st power chamber 13 so that the brake force when the brake pedal is depressed can be increased to obtain a favorable brake feeling. |
