EXHAUSTER FOR INITIAL CHARGE OF STORAGE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To efficiently exhaust gas in initial charge by installing an exhauster which is changeable up and down with an exhausting container which covers electrolyte pouring holes and porous bodies which are closely connected to the electrolyte pouring holes in any place according to the outer shape of a cover. CONSTITUTION:Electrolyte pouring holes 2 of a monoblock storage battery 1 are protruded from a cover surface. An exhaust container 3 is installed so as to envelop the electrolyte pouring holes 2 and the seal between the container 3 and the cover is formed with a separate elastomer to prevent electrolyte leakage. A porous body 6 is closely in contact with the electrolyte pouring holes 2 with a presser 7. Pores and voids are suitably formed in the presser 7 so as not to block exhaust passages. Dangerous gas evolved in initial charge is easily, efficiently exhausted without disturbing electrolyte pouring and cell arrangement.
