A spray head (1) for a fluid dispenser comprises a connecting duct (2) for sealingly receiving a delivery tube stub of an aerosol valve; a spray orifice (5); a chamber (3) connecting the connecting duct (2) and the orifice (5); a piston member (4) disposed in the chamber (3) and presenting a needle member (7) cooperating with the orifice (5); and a spring (11) urging the piston member (4) to the orifice (5). The orifice (5) is sealed by the end of the needle member (7) in an inoperative position, and the piston member (4) is arranged to move against the force exerted by the spring (11) under the influence of an elevated pressure prevailing in the chamber (3), whereby the orifice (5) is cleared by the needle member (7). To provide for improved atomization, according to the invention, the rear face of the piston member (4), which faces away from the needle member (7), defines a closed space which through a connecting duct (21) is in communication with a point located near the spray orifice (5) for the injection of air from the closed space into the product stream to be sprayed through the spray orifice (5). |
