The previously known arrangements which act in a scraper-like manner and are used in association with excrement-conveying belts for the purpose of drying chicken excrement were not capable of bringing about good mixing and loosening of the dried excrement on the conveyor belt. In order to ensure good mixing and tearing up of the uppermost, already dried excrement layer, a rotary driven roller body is proposed, which is equipped on its outer circumference with loosening members which engage in the excrement layer.
