<p num="1"><br/> ABSTRACT<br/> DIFFUSION TRANSFER IMAGING SYSTEM<br/> A process for forming an image which comprises<br/>image-wise exposing to radiation of selected<br/>wavelength a carrier element comprising, as image<br/>forming components, in one or more imaging layers<br/>coated on a support a bleachable dye in reactive<br/>association with iodonium ion thereby bleaching the<br/>dye in exposed areas to form a positive image, and<br/>thereafter transferring the positive dye image to a<br/>receptor which is either a receptor layer present on<br/>the carrier or a separate receptor element by<br/>providing a liquid medium between the positive dye<br/>image and receptor for a sufficient time to allow<br/>transfer of the dye image to the receptor.<br/> |
