The monoski consists of a pair of flat, long plate sections (2,3) with underneath tread surface (6), and which are designed as normal, though wider than usual skis. The tread surface (6) of the plate-sections (2,3) have inner edges (11) which can fit together. When the two skis are joined together by a mechanical locking system (4) the two plate-sections (2,3) become a monoski.
