<p>PURPOSE:To minimize scattering of varistor voltage and non-linear coefficients by adding an oxide aluminum of 0.01-1.0wt.% to a composition of a particular oxide non-linear resistor. CONSTITUTION:An oxide aluminum Al2O3 of 0.01-1.0wt.% is added to the conventional varistor composition, namely a varistor composition where an electrode is constituted by applying to and baking silver paste to an sintered object including an zinc oxide (ZrO) of 64-99.3mol% as a main constituent, an manganese oxide (MnO) of 0.1-5mol% and a titanium oxide (TiO2) of 0.5-20mol% as a subconstituent, either one of a cobalt oxide (CoO) of 0.1-3mol%, an antimony oxide (Sb2O3) of 0.1-5mol%, or a silicon dioxide (SiO2) 0.1-3mol%. Thus, a varistor with high stability, less scattering of non- linear coefficient alpha, and a varistor voltage of V1mA can be obtained without losing varistor characteristics.</p> |
