PURPOSE:To enable a blast of a cooling fan to be effectively sent to a fin of a heat sink and to enable transfer to be continuously performed by quick radiation of accumulated heat of a thermal head, by a method wherein a heat sink cover fixed to the heat sink is established. CONSTITUTION:A heat sink 18 and a cooling fan 19 for radiation of accumulated heat of a thermal head 11, and a heat sink cover 22 which is fixed to the heat sink and guides a blast of the cooling fan to the heat sink, are provided. Since a top A part of the heat sink cover is provided near an upper top plate, a locus of the part A becomes an arc of a circle almost in contact with the top plate centering an axle center of a head forcing lever axle 17. Even through the part A pivots by a certain angle from a released position to a forced position, an inclination of a pivot locus of a circular arc state becomes minimum. Therefore, even though the thermal head is positioned at a forcing position, the blast from the cooling fan can be effectively conducted to a fin of the heat sink. Then, radiation effect of the thermal head is increased, and continuous transfer becomes capable of being performed. |
