Process and plant for the manufacture of a material such as cement clinker

The plant for making use of the process comprises essentially a system 1 for predrying a raw material, this system being connected to a heating and firing unit 3, itself connected to a cooler 8 employing air and from which the manufactured material emerges at 10, a conduit 100 being connected between the drying system 1 and the region of the cooler 8 through which the hottest cooling air comes out, and a conduit 12 being connected to the region of the cooler 8 through which the least hot cooling air comes out and being divided into two conduit sections 101 and 102 which are connected respectively to the predrying system 1 and to a preheating system 4 with a precalciner 5 situated upstream of a firing kiln 7 to which the cooler 8 is connected. This plant applies especially to the manufacture of a cement clinker of excellent quality.
