Water/air mixing valve

In a water/air mixing valve, a water valve (2) and an air valve (3) are arranged upstream of an entry (37) of a water conduit (9, 20, 27, 14, 29, 37) into an air conduit (41, 49, 57). Each of these valves has a closing element (19, 20 and 48, 49, 54 respectively) which is loaded in the closing direction by a compression spring (25 and 53 respectively) and, in a cylinder space, has a piston (19 and 48 respectively) which is acted upon in the opening direction by the pressure of the other medium in each case, the valve thus operating only in the presence both of air pressure and water pressure. The said pistons (19 and 48 respectively) of the water valve (2) and of the air valve (3) are furthermore acted upon (31 and 60 respectively) in the closing direction by the pressure prevailing at the outlet (45) of the mixing valve. As a result, they are forced back into the closed position when back pressure occurs. <IMAGE>
