PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a stable light output by providing a correction device to suppress the deterioration in the light output of a discharge lamp when the frequency increases responding to the increase of frequency of an AC power source being used. CONSTITUTION:When the frequency of an AC power source AC being used exceeds the frequency of a commercial power source, a switch SW1 is turned on linking to that, and another smooth capacitor 5 is connected to a smooth capacitor 4 in parallel to provide the means to increase the capacity of the smooth capacitor. When the current is smoothed by only the smooth capacitor 4, the DC voltage wave-form input to a high-frequency inverter circuit 1 is made as the figure (a), and when the smooth capacitor 5 is connected in parallel to the capacitor 4, the DC voltage wave-form is made as the figure (b). And the wave-forms of the discharge currents responding to the figure (a) and the figure (b) are made as the figure (c) and the figure (d) respectively. |
