PURPOSE:To heighten the speed of processing in a printer and avoid wasteful power, by setting a hold time according to the number of phases excited at the hold time. CONSTITUTION:By a CPU 11, processing in a computer, and signal transfer to and from a keyboard 12, a printer 10, a display device 13, and the like, are performed and respective sections are controlled. By a stepping motor driving IC 15, a stepping motor in the printer 10 is driving-controlled. The input of signal HPSW showing a home position in the printer 10, to the CPU 11 is provided. Then, according to a case when the signal HPSW is detected and held at the time of the two-phase excitation of 1-2-phase excitation, and a case when the signal HPSW is detected and held at the time of one-phase excitation, hold times are made different from each other. |
