PURPOSE:To stop movement of a superconductive material so as to prevent quench by filling silicon rubber at an ordinary temperature in a space defined at the standing-up part of each solenoid layer and solidifying it in the extremely low temperature. CONSTITUTION:Silicon rubber 5 being adhesive fluid at normal temperature is completely filled to every nook and corner of the space arising at a part standing up from the (n)th layer of solenoid windings to the similar (n+1)th layer only by, e.g., wiping away it after plating it with a brush. And the silicon rubber filled at a extremely low temperature becomes hard and the movement of superconductor lines can be stopped. Accordingly, such a trouble does not occur that the superconductive material moves by the electromagnetic force caused by excitation and the superconductive material is quenched due to its frictional heat. |
