发明名称 SUBLIMATING THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a recording medium capable of conducting a favorable recording a large number of times, and reducing a running cost, by a method wherein the title medium consists of a substrate, a first thermal-sublimating ink layer containing a sublimating dye in a resin fine-porous structure formed on the substrate, and a second ink layer laminated on the first ink layer and made of a composition similar thereto. CONSTITUTION:As a sublimating dye, C.I. solvent Red No.23, 25, or 27 sublimating or vaporizing at 60 deg.C or above is used. As a resin composing a first layer and a second layer, a polyvinyl chloride or cellulose resin is used. The first layer is produced as follows: an ink fluid dispersion is prepared by mixing a thermal-sublimating dye, an oil such as vaseline having a function of forming a resin porous structure, and an organic solvent; a resin solution separately prepared by dissolving the resin in an organic solvent is mixed with said ink fluid dispersion; and the obtained fluid dispersion is applied on a substrate and dried. The second layer is formed by a method in which a binder and a dye are mixed, dispersed and dissolved by a ball mill etc., and applied on the first layer. In this manner, a thermal transfer medium with good printing characteristics is made available.
