PURPOSE:To insert more smoothly the leading edge of a sheet into a press- contact part and to prevent the occurrence of paper wrincles by movably arranging a paper guide which guides the sheet to the press-contact part between a heating roller and a pressure roller in a paper carrying direction. CONSTITUTION:When a copying mode is set in a one-sided copying mode or a multiple copying mode, the solenoid 7 of a guiding device 5 is turned off, and the paper guide 6, in a position where it is pulled by a coil spring 12, guides the sheet to the press-contact part 4. In the case of both-sided copying, the solenoid 7 is turned on, and the paper guide 6 is moved to the position where the leading edge of its inclined part 6a is brought close to the press-contact part 4, and guides the sheet to the press-contact part 4. Thus, the paper guide 6 is moved to the respective positions for the one-sided copying, the multiple copying and the both sided copying, according to the forms of the leading edge of the sheets; therefore the sheet is smoothly inserted between the heating roller 2 and the pressure roller 3. |
