PURPOSE:To suppress the vibration of an oil pan so as to decrease the emitting sound by depositing dumping material in a plural number of slits formed from around the bottom part of a cylinder block through the bottom wall of an oil pan and spreading them in a row. CONSTITUTION:An oil pan 3 connected to the bottom edge part of the cylinder block 1 of an engine E and the side of the engine of an transmission case 4 is provided. Then, a plural number of slits 8 which extend in a row and are located in the position A on the oil pan 3 at a prefixed distance L from the edge on the side of the engine of the transmission case 4 in the direction of an engine output axis and formed along the bottom wall of the oil pan 3 from the vicinity of the bottom part of the cylinder block 1, and at the same time, dumping material 9 is deposited in these slits 8. This process makes it possible to decrease the emitting sound from the oil pan 3 without decreasing the coupling rigidity of the cylinder block 1 with the transmission case 4. |
