PURPOSE:To prevent a noise, etc., from being generated when an optical circuit is turned on an off and to reduce the restrictions of a use place, etc., by holding a movable member made of a magnetic body normally at one stable position by a 1st permanent magnet, and operating a 2nd permanent magnet and moving it to the other stable position. CONSTITUTION:The 1st permanent magnet 2 is fixed on one end surface of a switch block 1, the movable member 6 made of the magnetic body is held at a lower position in the long and large space part 4 in the magnet 2 by being attracted normally by the 1st permanent magnet 2, and a light input port 72 and a light output port 82 are closed at this position, so the optical path from an optical fiber F11 to an optical fiber F21 is conductive and the optical path from F12 to F22 is at a light shield position. When the 2nd permanent magnet 3 is put in contact with the end late 5 of a switch block 1 in this state, the movable member 6 is attracted upward to turn off the optical path from F11 to F21 and turn on the optical path from F12 to F22. Consequently, the operation is stable against vibration, there is no noise generated, and the optical switch is used over a wide range without reference to whether or not there is a power source, the use place, etc. |
