The invention relates to a process for producing a ceramic composite material of at least one ceramic substrate material and a non-ceramic combination material. To overcome strength problems which occur, as a result of the method of production, at the connecting interface in known composite materials, according to the invention a frictional and positive connection is achieved by the interface being provided with an adhesion-promoting profiling. This can, in particular, take the form of a system of small cavities (hollow spaces) open to the interface.
