A pneumatic pressure-regulating valve with a feed passage (15) which can be connected to a pressure-medium source and a working passage (16) which can be connected to a consumer. Furthermore, a valve device (20) for alternatively making or breaking a pressure-medium connection between both passages is provided between both passages (15, 16). This valve device (20) has a valve-closing member (22) which can be moved suddenly between two positions - an open position and a closed position. The respective change-over action is triggered as a function of a predetermined control pressure. Here, the one action is triggered upon reaching a top operating-pressure value appearing in the course of a control-pressure increase and the other action is triggered upon reaching a smaller, bottom control-pressure value appearing in the course of a control-pressure decrease. <IMAGE>
