PURPOSE:To enhance efficiency of injecting positive holes from a conductive substrate and to rapidly attenuate negative charge by forming an interlayer specified in thickness and composition and containing a specified amount of a Se-As alloy and one of each specified amount of zinc, gallium, and indium, between the conductive substrate and a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by laminating on the conductive substrate 4 made of aluminum the interlayer 3, a carrier transfer layer 2, and a carrier generating layer 1. The interlayer 3 has 0.01 to 5mum thickness, and it is made of the Se-As alloy in a weight ratio of 99:1-90:10 and it contains one of zinc, gallium, and indium in an amount of 10 atomic ppm to 5 atomic %, thus permitting the positive hole injection efficiency from the substrate 4 to be enhanced, negative charge to be rapidly attanuated to about <=20% image density difference among copying papers to be reduced, and images uniform in density to be obtained. |
