SOLID MODELLING METHOD

This invention relates to a solid modelling method which can be utilized for a CAD system. On a plane for expressing an object of design in association with a two-dimensional wire frame information defined in a CAD system, this method uses chained elements obtained from the adjacent elements of the two-dimensional frame contour information in a loop-form as the minimum unit of the expression of the design object and defines both end surfaces which determines the existence of the design object by a curved plane expression or by the coordinates vertical to the plane so as to express the design object two- and three-dimensionally. Furthermore, an object formed by the aggregate of the looped shape units is expressed for each looped shape unit by the designation of an existence mode or a removal mode.
