PURPOSE:To prevent knocking and excessive cooling, etc. by a method wherein in an engine which accelerates a mechanical supercharger at medium and low speed, a water pump is accelerated at medium and low speed while a bypass path of a cooling water path is opened when load is low. CONSTITUTION:Rotation of a crankshaft 121 of an engine 101 is accelerated by a driving variable pulley 122, a transmission belt 125 and a driven variable pulley 123 and transmitted to a water pump 119. After it is accelerated by an intermediate pulley 126, it is transmitted via a transmission belt 129 and respective driving pulleys 127, 128 to a supercharger 105 and an alternator 120. On the other hand, a cooling water path 132 which joints the engine 101 and a radiator 131 is equipped with a bypass path 135 which connects the exhaust port of the water pump 119 to an upstream side of the radiator 131. A bypass valve 137 which is opened by an actuator 136 when load of the engine 101 is low is provided on the bypass path 135. |
