In the case of a circuit arrangement for controlling a bridge output stage, wherein a directional signal and a pulse-width modulated signal can be supplied by a microcomputer and wherein the bridge output stage is formed by at least four controllable switches, the sum of the directional signal and the pulse-width modulated signal can be supplied to comparators, one comparator being in each case assigned to one controllable switch and it being possible to supply reference voltages to the comparators.
