PRODUCTION OF LAMINATED PLANOGRAPHIC PRINTING PLATE

PURPOSE:To obtain good printed matter by a running treatment over a long period of time by forming the printing plate in such a manner that the binder of the charge generating layer thereof has the acid value larger by about >=50 than the acid value of the binder of the charge transfer layer and has the mol.wt. of about <=1/2 the mol.wt. of said layer. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer are successively provided on a conductive base. The charge generating layer is formed by dissolving or dispersing a charge generating material in the binder to form the thin layer thereof and the charge transfer layer is formed by dissolving or dispersing a charge transfer material into the binder to form the thin layer thereof, respectively. Both the binders consist essentially of a high-polymer having the group soluble in an alkali and/or alcohol solvent and having film formability. The binder of the charge generating layer consists essentially of the water insoluble resin having the acid value larger by about 50 than the acid value of the binder of the charge transfer layer and having average mol.wt. of <=1/2 the mol.wt. of said binder.
