PURPOSE:To obtain the stable rise of toner electrostatic charging and to prevent toner from being fused by providing the ceramic coating layer of the toner layer control member to specific thickness. CONSTITUTION:The developing device which uses nonmagnetic single-component toner is constituted by providing the ceramic coating layer consisting of one or plural components selected among oxides of silicon, titanium, iron, cobalt, M (alkali earth metal) to the toner layer control member 4 to <=5mu. The conveyance and charging performance for a toner conveyance member 3 is therefore improved, the durability is excellent, and the thin layer of toner particles which is constant in toner layer thickness and charging is formed stably on the toner conveyance member. Consequently, the stable rise of toner electrostatic charging is obtained and the fusion of toner is prevented. |
