MANUFACTURE OF MERCURY OXIDE

PURPOSE:To efficiently and surely convert the positive electrode oxide into mercury oxide at a low cost by using a fluid layer type solid-liquid reactor circulating an aging liquid to mature the positive electrode oxide. CONSTITUTION:A large quantity of metal mercury is contained in the mercury oxide generated by electrolysis, thus a sample separated by the centrifugation method is put into a main body through an upper cover 8. The aging liquid of an alkaline solution with pH8-13 is stored in the main body. The aging liquid is circulated by a pump 1 and sprayed to the upper section of the main body. The mercury oxide of the sample is set to the floating state in the main body by the spraying speed, the solid-liquid contact reaction proceeds. The sprayed aging liquid is discharged through a discharge port 3 at the upper section and circulated to the pump 1.
