<p>PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for search of a genuine cause by informing previously an operator the future progress of a cause candidate under searching and canceling the cause candidate with judgement of the operator. CONSTITUTION:An optimum cause searching procedure is set for the selected one of plural cause candidates by reference to a knowledge data base showing the causal relation between an occurred event and its cause. Based on said searching procedure, the questioning items and their answers are repetitively produced for each event. In this case, a searching state output device 6 displays a specific cause searching action under execution and the present cause candidate is canceled by an input device 7 based on the judgement of an operator. Then another cause candidate is selected. As a result, the cause searching time can be shortened.</p> |
