PURPOSE:To decrease the inductance of a conductor, to obtain currents fast in building-up, to simplify the structure and to reduce cost by using a clamping bolt as a return circuit conductor. CONSTITUTION:One 6 of a main circuit conductor is connected to one of a hold-down plate 7, the other main circuit conductor 5 is connected between an insulating seat 4 and a laminate composed of a cooling body 3 and a flat type semiconductor element 2, and a clamping bolt 8 is utilized as one part of one main circuit conductor. That is, since currents flowing through the laminate consisting of the cooling body 3 and the flat type semiconductor element 2 through the main circuit conductor 5 flow through the main circuit conductor 6 through a hold-down plate 7 on the lower side and the clamping bolt 8, magnetic flux generated in the laminate and magnetic flux generated in the clamping bolt 8 are cancelled, and the magnetic flux of the main circuit conductor 5 and that of the conductor 6 are also mutually cancelled. Accordingly, inductance is lowered, not only desired pulse-shaped currents, rise of which is quickened, can be produced but also assembly is simplified because the clamping bolt 8 functions as the conductor in combination, and cost is reduced because structure is simplified. |
