PURPOSE: To secure a reliable valve unit in operation by pressing to open by an armature via an actuating pin a valve element which is energized toward a valve seat for closing. CONSTITUTION: An inlet port 18, an outlet port 19 and a passageway 22 are all formed in a valve body 5, and a valve seat 1 is firmly installed in this passageway 22. A ball valve element 2 is energized to this valve seat 1 by a spring 3. An actuating pin 8 is inserted into the passageway 22 free of sliding motion. A lower end of the actuating pin 8 comes into contact with the ball 2 and the upper end into contact with a membrane 10 partitioning an interval between a cavity 21 formed in the valve body 5 and an electromagnetic driving section 13, respectively. The armature 14 is moved downward whereby the ball 2 is forcibly pressed via the membrane 10 and the actuating pin 8 and thus opened. With this constitution, a reliable valve unit in operation is securable.
