PURPOSE:To automatically and rapidly know the dot lacking ratio of a print by finding out the total number of dots and the number of lacking dots and finding out the dot lacking ratio from the rate of both the values. CONSTITUTION:An image processor 5 with an FFT function executes the FFT processing of an input image from an ITV camera 4, finds out a power spectrum, extracts only a certain frequency component from the power spectrum, and executes the reverse FFT processing of the extracted part to find out an ideal image. The processor 5 executes the density image processing, binarizing processing and binarized image processing of the input image and the ideal image, and calculates the total number of dots. Then the processor 5 executes the inter-picture element operation of the input image and the ideal image, finds out a lacking dot image and calculates the number of lacking dots based on the image. Finally, the processor 5 finds out the dot lacking ratio based on the rate of the total number of dots to the number of lacking dots. |
