This invention relates to a hoof-fitting or horseshoe, comprising a metallic part (10) which is intended to be affixed to the underside of the horse's hoof, and a resilient or elastic shock-absorbing member (13) which is removeably affixed to the metallic part (10). In accordance with the invention, the metallic part and the resilient member (10 and 13 respectively) are configured substantially identically from respective sheets of material, wherein the metallic part (10) has stationarily mounted therein nut-like devices (12), the ends of which projecting from the plane of the metallic part (10) project into holes (14) provided in the shock-absorbing member (13).
