<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a cassette loading device by changing as necessary the length of the drive arm of a cassette loading device which load a magnetic tape cassette into a due device. CONSTITUTION:The guide means 9 and 10 guide a tape cassette holding means 5 to a 1st position where a tape cassette 4 is loaded into a magnetic recording/ reproducing device 1 and also to a 2nd position where the cassette 4 can be loaded into or unloaded out of the device 1. Then a drive arm 11 which is revolved by a drive motor is used together with a sliding member 17 which s supported by the arm 11 slidably in the direction approximately vertical to a rotary shaft 21 of the arm 11 and at the same time reciprocates the means 5 between the 1st and 2nd positions. In such a constitution, the increase of the thickness of the device 1 can be avoided regardless of the length of the arm 11 of a cassette loading device even in case the shift distance of the cassette 4 set when the cassette 4 is moved in the depth direction of the device 1 is considerably larger than the shift distance set when the cassette 4 is moved in the height direction of the device 1. As a result, the thickness of the cassette loading device is reduced.</p> |
