Tactile display device for the simultaneous digital transmission of manually generated characters from a transmitter to a receiver

A tactile display device is to be presented which can be produced in a cost-effective manner in any size desired, is flexible, and is easily transported even in a relatively large design. The tactile display device consists of a plurality of layers of sandwich-like construction, a first layer being a transparent plastic film, a second plastic layer containing display elements which can be activated by electrical control and are constructed on polymer basis using the dot-matrix principle, and a layer, which becomes conductive when touched, being arranged between two layers which bear conductor tracks, arranged in a coordinate-like manner. The electrical signals generated by touching serve to directly control the display elements in the inherent tactile display device and are simultaneously also transmitted to the place of reception by means of a connecting line.
