PURPOSE:To supply the necessary molten iron to the next process at the necessary time under good accuracy by communicating bottom part of a molten iron tank arranged as adjoining to a blast furnace and the bottom part of the blast furnace and controlling pressure in the molten iron tank with the inert gas. CONSTITUTION:The molten iron tank 2 is arranged as adjoining to the blast furnace 1. The bottom part of this tank 2 and the furnace bottom part of the blast furnace 1 are communicated with a communicating tube 3. Then, the molten iron 51 is continuously discharged from an iron tapping hole 111 at the blast furnace and introduced into the tank 2 through the communicating tube 3. The pressure in the tank 2 is controlled with the inert gas and as necessary requires, the molten iron 51 is supplied into the next process from the tank 2 through a valve 4. |
