<p>Particle size classification is carried out by (a) allowing the particles to pre-sediment in an immobile liquid medium in a pre-sedimentation chamber, (b) allowing the particles to penetate into a sedimentation column at the same instant and from the same level, (c) allowing the particles to sediment in the sedimentation column, (d) collection the particles on filters situated at the base of the column, and (e) removing the sedimented particles from the filters.</p> |
