Masking of parts of a vehicle prior to spraying the bodywork is effected by microporous panels of paper or film precut to sets of shapes to suit the forms of the windows etc. of a partic. vehicle. Also prefabricated are close-fitting polyethylene shrounds for the wheels, with a radial slot to accommodate the axle and overlapping flaps or a supplementary panel to cover the exposed portion of that slot. The panels are held in position by tabs or strips of double-sided adhesive masking tape. USE/ADVANTAGE - To prevent contamination of the glazing, brightwork and rubber components on a vehicle by spray or drifting paint spray droplets. Quicker to mount than patterns cut on the job from pref. pieces of old newspaper or plastic bags. The tailored, permeable panels to not trap air or flap. The wheel covers are readily removed and refitted to permit opt. movement of the vehicle.
