Infinitely telescoping tube connections are known, in particular, for vacuum-cleaner tubes and in the case of which the tube connections, plugged one into the other, are fixed in a purely frictionally locking manner. If this purely frictionally locking fixing of the tube ends with respect to one another is sufficient, this usually involves the disadvantage that a subsequent change in the plug-in position of the tube ends can be achieved only with considerable outlay in terms of force. If, on the other hand, a change in the plug-in position can be achieved with a low outlay in terms of force, this, in many cases, involves the disadvantage that definitive fixing, and thus a desired constancy in length setting, is not ensured to sufficient extent. In the case of a tube connection, according to the invention, between two tube ends (1, 2), which can be used, in particular, for vacuum-cleaner tubes, one tube end (1) is fixedly plugged in a claw-type sleeve (3), whereas the other tube end (2) is arranged such that it can, in principle, be axially displaced with respect to the claw-type sleeve (3), but can be secured by means of a resilient tongue (8). The resilient tongue (8) can be transferred, by means of a bracing sleeve (4) which can move axially in the direction of the arrow (18), into a latching position in which the tube end (2) is secured, and this latching can be released by the bracing sleeve (4) being moved in the direction counter to the arrow (18). By virtue of the mainly positively locking, axial securing, according to the invention, of the ... plugged one into the other ... Original abstract incomplete. <IMAGE>
