Method for the continuous production of elongated shaped bodies and semi-finished products from the melt
摘要
The method for the production of shaped bodies from the melt consists in applying the melt to a supporting body rotating at a particular speed. The supporting body guides the melt while it is cooled uniformly by a coolant. The melt is cooled to far enough below the melting point for it to be able to crystallise at a rate of solidification and with a direction of solidification determined essentially by the surface velocity of the supporting body. The high rate of solidification which can be achieved makes possible the dissolution and fine distribution of alloying elements and particles in concentrations above the equilibrium concentration in the solid condition and the production of strong and highly conductive shaped bodies.
