In the conveying of fluidised powder, in particular for powder coating of articles, it is disadvantageous that, for the purpose of fluidising, a relatively large quantity of air must continuously be introduced into the supply container for the powder, which quantity of air is required only to a relatively small degree for the further transport of the powder. The object consists in avoiding these disadvantages. In the method according to the invention, the problem is solved in that the powder is sucked up by means of a partial vacuum and then conveyed further by a flow of propellent, the partial vacuum also sucking up the fluidising flow of air. The partial vacuum is produced by a propelling nozzle. The invention is used for conveying powder in general, and, in particular, also for powder coating. <IMAGE>
