A device for indicating bearings in azimuth and inclination comprising first and second relatively movable parts, first indicator means for producing a visual and/or audio signal when said first part is horizontal, means for setting a predetermined angle of elevation from the horizontal on said second part, means for setting a predetermined angle of azimuth on said device and second indicator means for producing a visual and/or audio signal when said angle of azimuth is achieved by manipulating the device.
