PURPOSE:To remarkably enhance desilverability in spite of rapid processing and at the same time to prevent color staining of the processed photographic sensitive material by incorporating at least one of specified compounds in the photosensitive material and a specified compound as a bleaching agent in a bleach processing solution. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material contains at least one of the compounds represented by formula I in which Cp is a coupler residue coupling with the oxidation product of a color developing agent to form a substantially colorless compound or a coupler residue elutable or diffusible out of the layers of the photosensitive material after the coupling reaction, and X is a capable of coupling with the oxidation product of the colordeveloping agent at the coupling site of the coupler or further capable of being released after the reaction. The processing solution capable of bleaching contains as the bleaching agents at least one of the ferric complex salts A of ethylenediamine tetraacetate and the like and that of 1,3-diaminepropane tetraacetate B in a molar ratio A/B of <=3:1, thus permitting the desilvering process to be shortened and color staining and bleach fog to be prevented. |
