PURPOSE:To easily obtain mosaic glass having a freely created geometrical pattern even in case of a small studio by forming a columnar body consisting of layers of plural kinds of glass having different colors with a mold having many V-shaped grooves, cutting the columnar body into triangular pieces and arranging the pieces. CONSTITUTION:Plural kinds of glass powder 3a having different colors are filled into many grooves 2 having a triangular cross-section in a heat resistant mold 1 so as to form layers. These layers are melted in an electric furnace and solidified and the resulting columnar body 5 is cut into many pieces 4. These pieces 4 are arranged on a plate in a geometrical pattern and melted again in the electric furnace to obtain mosaic glass. |
