<p>PURPOSE:To improve durability, lubricity, and cleaning performance by incorporating a low-surface-energy compound in a polymeric elastic body as primary particles of <=1mum in mean particle size or in a compatible state. CONSTITUTION:The low-surface-energy compound is incorporated in the blade as primary particles of <=1mum in mean particle size, preferably, in the compatible state. In this state, the low-surface-energy compound reacts completely on a polymeric elastic body forming material. Namely, the low-surface-energy is present in the polymeric elastic body not in large irregular particles, but in the uniform state while reacting with the polymeric elastic body forming material. Therefore, when residual toner on a photosensitive body is cleaned, particle components of the low-surface-energy compound as an irregular part of the blade are prevented from falling owing to the rubbing between the blade and the surface of the photosensitive body and the edge part wears uniformly at all time. Consequently, cleaning removal ability is improved greatly and invariably excellent cleaning effect is obtained.</p> |
